S'ine Maule

When I make random marks on my canvas, these marks are supported and held in place by previous daubs of paint. Colours are chosen to support a mood, a sense of place and time and to unite the evolving image. Lakes and seashores abound in mystery and changing forms: it is from the memories of these places that my paintings take shape. This constant flux excites me, driving me to express what I can no longer see but is forever held in the minds eye. I am equally comfortable working in Acrylic, Oil or Watercolour, in a wide range of sizes, from miniature, to large size canvas.
