Every year on Mother’s Day Weekend, I go to Rondeau Provincial Park for a few days to catch the warbler migration. While waiting for those allusive little birds, I gaze into the fascinating wet areas in the woods. These cold, dark waters reflect the sky and the trees above them while they give life to the little yellow buttercups that grow from them in early spring. I used a palette knife when creating this image to capture the mystery and beauty of those meditative pools of dark shallow water.
